Different View Photography to Benefit Cystic Fibrosis Research

A darling friend of mine, who is a wonderful photographer, has partnered with Different View Photography, and at the moment, they are up to fantastic things.

In support of Ayla's Army, Different View Photography is donating all proceeds from website sales of their prints to a Great Strides fundraising event that is taking steps to cure Cystic Fibrosis.

If you would like to buy yourself some fantastic art AND help fight Cystic Fibrosis, this is the time and place to do it!

Different View Photography has wonderful pieces to offer at excellent prices. You can click HERE to see the full catalog, but I have a little preview for you:

While the images are lovely, Cystic Fibrosis most certainly is not. According to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation:

"Cystic fibrosis is an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections; an obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food.

In the 1950s, few children with cystic fibrosis lived to attend elementary school. Today, advances in research and medical treatments have further enhanced and extended life for children and adults with CF. Many people with the disease can now expect to live into their 30s, 40s and beyond."

Although research has increased the life expectancy, there are still "About 1,000 new cases of cystic fibrosis are diagnosed each year."

We need more help if we want to eradicate this disease in our lifetimes. If you want to help, you can purchase a print from Different View photography or make a direct donation to Ayla's Army.
