2. Josephine is VERY sick.
4. Someone got our debit card number and spent a billion of our dollars yesterday and now we have to deal with all that.
5. Tomorrow is my birthday.
*Sad trombone*
Can you either tell me funny stories or commiserate with your own sad lists in the comments? Please? PUH-LEEEEEESE? I need you now. More than words can say.
XOXO,
Lame Veronica
The great news is that you have a new little life growing and getting ready to meet you! And even though you and your little cute girlie are sick, it won't last forever.
ReplyDeleteJoke: Why did the poor dog chase his own tail? He was trying to make ends meet!
Hope your day gets better!
Jenn Shumaker
Aww, thanks Jenn! :)
DeleteI just spent the last 15 minutes picking lettuce shreds out of the carpet at work. That qualifies for sad trombone. Feel better ladies.
ReplyDeleteI'm really sorry, but I laughed at that image. That was bad of me. But right after I laughed, I said "awww." Poor Shannon. :(
DeleteBut thanks!
I could tell you cute Jeremy stories from his childhood. He was three when we took him to the Huron Theatre for a revival of "101 Dalmatians." He did not move a muscle during the entire movie and wouldn't take his eyes off the screen even for popcorn. Or when I was studying in England, was terribly homesick, and he and Christopher sang "Johnny B Goode" on the phone to me. Or in 1984 when Tim and I taught him to say "WILLIE HERNANDEZ" by bribing him with Superman ice cream. Veronica MD, we all have our sad trombone days and I hope yours ends on a high note. From Washington with love.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, M. I smiled reading the Jeremy stories and smiled throughout the day as I thought of them. :)
DeleteSo sorry you're both sick!! It's the worst with kids when they can understand why life is so crummy for a while. If you lived closer I would bring you soup for dinner. Boo for having someone swipe your card number. Hope it's not too much of a hassle. I don't have any jokes but here is a video that might get a smile from Josephine (for some reason the last bit is just a still picture) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWHpcKXt-qQ
ReplyDeleteHope it all gets better soon!!
Aww, thank you! And yes, it's hard when she doesn't know it will get better soon. :(
DeleteAnd thanks for the video. Josie LOVED it!!
And of course I meant when kids *can't* understand
ReplyDeleteI can't remember if you commented on Twitter on what my dog did to my house yesterday, but in case you didn't (and for the benefit of others): http://crapmydogdestroyed.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteAND Lorelai is cutting 6 (6!!!!!) teeth -- all four molars (the bottom two are finally all the way broken through, thank God) and the bottom canines.
And finally, I got a negative pregnancy test yesterday. (Which doesn't mean I'm not pregnant, I know it could mean I'm just not pregnant ENOUGH, but still.)
Triple sad trombone and thumbs-down to everything this week. Everything! (Except for the part where tomorrow is your birthday, because birthdays mean cake, and as we all know, if it's YOUR birthday cake, it has no calories. Which means birthday cake is the perfect food for eating your feelings!)
Ahh, yes. Things are bad in Polka Dots and Pearls land as well. You know, Josie's teeth did the exact same thing -- all four molars and two canines, all at once, and you're right, it's TERRIBLE. Hope things get better for you all soon!!
DeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! ;) I hope you and Josephine are feeling better today and you three are able to do something fun!
ReplyDeleteAlso, poop on the debit card. :( I'm always nervous about something like that happening. What a pain!!
Thank you!!
DeleteWe have already had it happen once before! Bother someone else, why don't ya, thieves?
