Allow me to elaborate.
No, I have not gone completely off the deep end (yet). I am just very frustrated by my jealousies and selfishness. Lately, whenever I see pregnant women or people with children, I HATE these strangers. Complete strangers. And I hate them.
I can't help thinking They don't deserve that baby or That should be ME puking in a public restroom or That should be ME dragging a screaming toddler out of a Target store.
I actually think those things. I actually have the audacity to assume that I deserve a child more than other people. It is really messing with my head. But, at least I know it is wrong, so I guess I have that going for me, right? Right? Like, crazy people don't think they are really crazy. So that means I am not crazy yet. Right? Someone tell me I am right.
At any rate, I do have one little "mother" around the house that I am not jealous of:
Cleo found a tiger I got through one of my treasured Defenders of Wildlife adoptions and started carrying it around like a little baby!! She carries it just like she would a pup!
She takes it everywhere she goes! It is too precious for words! It almost makes me sad that she is fixed and will never be able to have her own pups. Little baby Cleos ... aww! (don't read that part, Jeremy!)
Well, I have to leave it at that, because I am busy melting and swooning over my dog. :)
That's funny, when ever I see a pregnant woman I think, aww she doesn't deserve that.
ReplyDeleteYou are not crazy...you're a Marcetti/ Jodko mix...
ReplyDeleteToo adorable!!!
ReplyDeleteHmm ... Mom, does that mean you are trying to blame half the crazy on the Marcettis? ;)
ReplyDeleteMelissa - I know. She does it all day, every day, and I melt every time. Jeremy keeps asking her "You got your pup?"
I found your blog through Allie's, and I've spent the last hour here. I like the way you think.(and write) I just had to comment on Cleo & her baby. She looks just like my lab, Moony, who also carries a stuffed baby around with him. It makes me melt too. My husband just rolls his eyes..... When I ask Moony if I can see his baby, he brings it over & drops it in my lap, but won't move more than an inch away from it.(Like he's nervous I'm gonna drop it) Don't animals just break your heart?
ReplyDeleteJerri -- thanks! I am blushing over here!
ReplyDeleteWe started calling the tiger her "pup" and if we ask "where's your pup??" she will run and get it, and she doesn't like to relinquish it to us either. I think she is thinking the same thing Moony is!
Thanks for stopping over! :)
